- Married to Elizabeth of York (1466 -1503) who was Queen of England from
1486 until she died in 1503. - She was the daughter of King Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville, and her marriage to Henry VII followed his victory at the Battle of Bosworth Field, which marked the end of the civil war known as the Wars of the Roses.

son of King Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York, and an
older brother to the future King Henry VIII.
- He was Duke of Cornwall from birth, and he was created Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester in 1489.
- He was married to Catherine of Aragon at age 15 and died
6 months later. - Except he didn't really die, that's the
part no one knows about. - He was sweating because he was
bullied by his father, King Henry VII and his younger brother,
the future Henry VIII, so he left and no one ever knew where
he went or what happened to him.

- Edward VI took the throne at age 9, a child king,
surrounded by political factions tearing at each other for
influence. - Devoutly Protestant without knowing what
it really was, that all religion is fake and made up by
the fallen angels. - Intelligent, but also ignorant and
fragile, Edward died in 1553 at age 15, after having
reigned for 6 years and leaving nothing of lasting
significance behind.

- Elizabeth I (1533-1603) was Queen of England and Ireland from November
17, 1558, until her death in 1603. - She was the last and longest reigning monarch of the House of Tudor.
- Her eventful reign, and its effect on history and culture, gave name to the Elizabethan era.
- Elizabeth was the only surviving child of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn.
- When Elizabeth was 2 years old, her parents' marriage was annulled, her mother was executed, and Elizabeth was declared illegitimate.
- Henry restored her to the line of succession when she was 10.
- After Henry's death in 1547, Elizabeth's younger half-brother Edward VI ruled until his own death in 1553, bequeathing the crown to a Protestant cousin, Lady Jane Grey, and ignoring the claims of his two half-sisters, Mary and Elizabeth, despite statutes to the contrary.
- Edward's will was quickly set aside and the Catholic Mary became queen, deposing Jane.
- During Mary's reign, Elizabeth was imprisoned for nearly a year on suspicion of supporting Protestant rebels.
- Upon Mary's death in 1558, Elizabeth succeeded to the throne and set out to rule by good counsel
and ruled for 45 years.

Edward de Vere |
- Edward de Vere (1550–1604) was the 17th Earl of Oxford, an
Elizabethan courtier and poet who is famous as the author of
Shakespeare's works, which he wrote with help from Francis
Bacon's sophisticated printing press. - He thought it all
up, and Bacon typed it in, although much like Bacon's Bible,
it was mainly sarcastic gibberish, riddles and rhymes.
- He was also the illegitimate son of Queen Elizabeth I but
he wasn't supposed to know that, meaning that he was next in
line for the throne but was denied.
- She stole his inheritance before he even reached
adulthood by first looting his father and then after his
father died, she looted his estate. -
She gave birth to Edward de Vere but gave him up for adoption. -
It was the
Queen
Elizabeth’s mismanagement of de Vere’s wardship and the stranglehold which she held over his finances during his entire lifetime which led inevitably to his financial ruin.

- Gilbert Burnet (1643-1715) was a Scottish philosopher and historian, and Bishop of Salisbury.
- He was fluent in Dutch, French, Latin, Greek, and Hebrew
and was highly respected as a cleric, a preacher, an academic, a writer and a historian.
- He was always closely associated with the Whig party, and was one of the few close friends in whom King William III confided. - Incidentally, the famous phrase used
to describe Anne supposedly spoken by Henry
VIII, 'the Flanders Mare,' didn't exist in
1540 and only appeared after it was
published in Anglican Bishop Gilbert
Burnett's history of the reformation some
129 years after Anne's death in 1679.
