ASTROLOGY - WESTERN (TROPICAL)
Western astrology known as tropical zodiac is based on the solar calendar
and the movement of the sun through the 12 constellations and
how the planets relate. It is the belief that all things;
earth, individual and environment in totality represent one
organism.
The practice has its roots in ancient Egypt
and Greece, although the practice of astrology was going on in
India long before these civilizations even existed.
Western astrology focuses more on
personality traits
Karma is a Hindu understanding that your
actions have consequences and is the main focus of Vedic
astrology, whereas Western astrology focuses on personality
traits.
Tropical zodiac is centered on the seasons and
Sidereal on the Sun.
Because Tropical astrology doesn't take
precessional movement into account, it's out of alignment by 1
degree every 72 years. Currently it's out of alignment with
the constellations by about 24 degrees. This produces
questionable results.
Sidereal astrology, on the other hand,
accurately aligns with constellations in the sky.

Western astrology signs are based on the four
elements (fire, earth, air, water):
