- His mother was Caterina di Meo Lippi
and she was a Circassian slave from the North Caucasus region
that today is part of southern Russia, near the coast of the

him as an artist because he could see what he was painting,
and his drawing hand at the same time!
- He died at age 67 on May 2, 1519

knows where he is? Possibly in a church in Amboise.
